Single Select Tool is meant to be used when you are to select an single element from the webpage.
Multi Select Tool is meant to be used when the user is looking to select multiple elements in a page. i.e all post titles in a page.
Multi Select tool is also equipped with our prediction algorithm that predicts all similar elements in the page based on the user’s preliminary selections. You can turn the prediction algorithm on/off by toggling the prediction button in the options panel. See below fig.
Group tool is primarily used when the user is looking to extract a collection of elements which are related to each other.
For example, let us consider the following screenshot where we are looking to extract the post title, the associated comment count and points count. In this case, we create a group called posts and all tags are under this one single group.
The Scrapex team has pre-configured tags that are common across our users. For example, to extract title from a webpage you can use our title builtin tag.
Clicking on the tool provides the user with a list of preconfigured tags, simply select the tag of interest and click confirm.

To extract the title of HTML document as you see it in the browser title toolbar as well as in the search engine results pages (SERP).
Meta tags describe a page’s content; the meta tags don’t appear on the page itself, but only appear in the page’s source code. We find that our customers are interested in this information.
Clicking the tool provides the user with a list of meta tags that are available on the page, simply select the tag name of interest and click confirm.
